The incident dates back to around 4:30 p.m. on June 3, when two NuoWei employees, Wang Xinju and Zhao Junjie, were returning home after dining on Yueli Street. As they reached the steps of the parking lot, they suddenly noticed an elderly man had fallen, suffering a head injury with bleeding and confusion. Although two students at the scene had already called 120, the heavy evening rush-hour traffic made it difficult for the ambulance to arrive promptly.

Seeing that the elderly patient’s condition continued to worsen, the two immediately decided to drive him to the hospital themselves. What would normally take 15 to 20 minutes during the evening rush hour was shortened as they skillfully planned an alternate route, detouring around heavy traffic while closely monitoring the patient’s vital signs. Throughout the journey, they provided steady, attentive care, minimizing vehicle vibrations to prevent further injury. In less than ten minutes, they arrived at the emergency department of Zibo Municipal Hospital. The attending physician explained that the patient’s head injury was critical, and even a few minutes’ difference in response time could have determined the outcome. Wang Xinju and Zhao Junjie are both employees who joined Yinuowei in 2025. Reflecting on their heroic act that day, they said it was instinctive to help—any effort was simply what should be done.
